Organisations I’ve Worked With That Have Made and are Making a Difference

One of the most powerful ways we can create positive change is by paying forward the kindness, wisdom, and support we’ve received on our own journeys. As a small thank you to the organisations that have helped me along the way, I’m excited to share them here ~ so you, too, can benefit from their guidance, and perhaps one day, pass that support on to someone else.

Each organisation featured below has played a meaningful role in my personal or professional growth. By shining a light on their work, I hope to not only express my gratitude, but also to inspire you to reach out, connect, and discover new sources of support.

Paying it forward starts with a single step ~ sometimes that’s simply sharing a resource, offering encouragement, or opening a door for someone else. If you find value in any of these organisations, consider how you might continue the chain of support, whether by sharing with a friend, volunteering, or just saying thank you.

Together, we can build a ripple effect of kindness, connection, and growth.

Below you will find a list of organisations that have offered their support to Awakened Realm following the guiding principles of Paying it Forward.

We provide practical assistance, emotional support, and accessible wellbeing tools designed to empower individuals and reduce isolation. Our team is made up entirely of unpaid volunteers who give their time because they believe deeply in our mission. Many of us have lived experience of chronic pain, disability, or mental health difficulties, which means we understand the challenges our community faces and offer support with genuine empathy.

At Pain Pals GY, we help people navigate everyday barriers by offering:

  • Benefit form completion and paperwork support
  • Help with online tasks, including accessing government services and NHS services
  • Advocacy and liaison with organisations, healthcare providers, and support services
  • Guidance in finding the right disability support, including referrals and signposting
  • Assistance with ordering essential equipment that makes daily living safer and more accessible
  • Self-development tools to help manage pain, improve wellbeing, and build confidence
  • Counselling services for mental health, grief, trauma, and emotional resilience
  • Peer support and community connection, reducing loneliness, community access and helping people feel understood
  • Affordable wellbeing activities and resources for those who struggle to access traditional pathways
  • Low cost training courses for other CICs, small organisations and unpaid carers

Everything we do is rooted in compassion, inclusion, and the belief that small acts of support can create life-changing impact. Our mission is simple: “Helping one person may not help the world, but it could change the world for one person.”

Pain Pals GY is here for anyone who needs understanding, guidance, or a friendly hand to hold while navigating the challenges of chronic pain and disability. No one should have to face these struggles alone — and with us, they don’t.
